Luck’s Field Community Center

This is a newly constructed 37,327 sf building on U Street in the heart of Richmond’s east end. The community center will also serve as an emergency response building, with backup generator power and flexibility for the community it serves. At 3 stories, the building will stand 45 feet tall. The interior will feature flexible spaces, an indoor playground, multipurpose gym with a second level mezzanine, admin office spaces, an indoor playground, mixed media center, youth center, residential kitchen, utility and storage. the site will feature pathways, playgrounds, landscaping, community garden spaces, shade structures, an extension of U street, a small on-site parking lot.

Construction of a two-story building enclosing approximately 37,327 SF of Type 11B construction, for a Community Center. The building has an occupancy classification of A3 Assembly Occupancy. The structure will be fully protected by a NFPA 13 system.
